How we start figuring prices on our Nigerians, then evaluation also comes into play as well!
OK, explaining our prices on our NIGERIAN kids and goats:
- all registered doe kids no matter the breeding start at $400.
- all registered buck kids no matter the breeding start at $300
**ALL LAMANCHA,SAANEN, OBERHASLI, NUBIAN KIDS WILL BE PRICED ACCORDINGLY TO BREED AND GENETICS.
* If the dam has a restricted leg from her jr championship, there will be the base price of $400+$50 so the doe kid would be $450, buck kids $350.
* If the doe has 1 unrestricted leg towards championship meaning 1 Grand Champion win as a senior doe, her kids will now be $500 to start with, but if she has 2 legs doe kids will be $550 minimum, now if that doe also has her milk star and is an 800 lb milker or more, that kid will then be $650 minimum base price.
* say a doe is a permanent champion, has her Milk star, GCH, and has her AR status, and an 800# plus milker, that means she has a base price of $850, and then looking back on does lines how many in her immediate pedigree have all of this? then addition of lineage plays in to the total price of the kid. and then looking at the sire, is he proven, does he have is *B or *S or even his +? this will add on to the price of the kid as well.
* kids may be less if we see they are not of quality we were figuring and or toe out, lack strength in back or anything we see as not show quality, but most of these doe kids or buck kids that have these things will most likely be sold without papers.
* buck kids born will only be offered as bucks out of does with exceptional udders. and if i wouldn't use the buck on my own herd, they will be offered without papers and or offered as wethers.
* it has been some time since i did this table, there is no increased price on kids for Moonspots or blue eyes, based solely off of conformation and genetics.
